Let It Pass

I am sitting in Starbucks drinking m overpriced coffee and watching the storm cruise by. It's beautifully gloomy and cloudy and the sun is nearly setting. I glance up from the glow of my phone to see a peach and periwinkle sky, almost sponge-painted with bright clouds. It's then I notice the peace. The silence in the atmosphere and the emptiness of the breeze. It's over. And frankly, it didn't last long.
I love storms. Everything about them. The powerful whirlwinds that awaken just before the floods come, the thick air marinating in anticipation, the smell of the pavement as the earth is cooled, the way the sky keeps moving without any worries. But my favorite is just after the storm has passed: the world breathes, the sky is lit, the ground, damp, and the air, now thin. And it reminds me of "storms" in our lives.
Yeah, we can get easily annoyed if our hair frizzes or if our feet get wet or if we are chilly, but nothing surpasses the peace of being without mess. We've all been there, in midst the storm, frustrated out of our minds. So, just hold tight, for your future awaits with the calm, peaceful, twinkling sky of possibilities.

Simply put,
Let It Pass.
