Philippians 4:11-13
MSG
“I’ve learned by now to be quite content whatever my circumstances.
I’m just as happy with little as with much,
with much as with little.
I’ve found the recipe for being H A P P Y whether full or hungry, hands full or hands empty.
Whatever I have,
wherever I am,
I can make it through anything in the ONE who makes me
who
I
am.”
This verse, spoken by Paul and Timothy to the followers in Philippi, is easier said than done, I know. And to be completely honest, I’ve had an interesting couple of weeks. It was a never-ending cycle of bad luck, it seemed, with not only me, but those around me as well. Through it all, I was still loved and cherished by the Creator of the universe. THAT is worth being happy about, worth living to the fullest, worth loving with all you are.
So, identify yourself in who Jesus says you are, who you are called to be, who you are confident in, and that is when you will be truly joyful. As long as you know your worth, I promise you, no thing or person or crappy situation can steal that from you.
Hang tight, for He will never leave you.
