Rally for Heaven

Once upon a time, I wrote a poem spiked by something someone said that I was riding in a car with.
After being scared multiple times by careless drivers, she clearly had more than she could take:
"They need Jesus,"
she said under her breath as she shook her head side to side.
I realized that, though this statement is very much true, it's not only true about people who cause hurt to you, but everyone. After all, Christ died for all, so that we all can be saved and rejoice in Heaven.
Once upon a shorter time, I shared this poetic vent session with my congregation at church, not knowing how it would all go down.
After getting all good feedback, I realized that I was not the only one who felt this way, so maybe you're on the same page as me today.
Well, you can find out here:
The fact is we all need something to fill the void.
Some use drugs or work or girls or boys.
When did you know? When did you catch the drift?
That they all cause every pain, blood, or spit.
So maybe it’s a negative statement: “They need Jesus.”
Maybe it’s something I wish was said about me.
Because we are all in need,
some in want,
some in denial.
I need Jesus just like the next.
As much as the sinner,
As much as the saint,
As much as the prostitute,
As much as the king.
But never more, never less.
Jesus sacrificed Himself, so we can put Him through tests?
NO
He is greater, stronger, higher
Than anyone before or after.
Sturdy as a rock: never flitters, never falters.
So when I deny Him
When I am selfish,
He is always waiting and willing for our repentance.
I’m so unworthy,
It’s so unforgettable.
Why does my body choose sin, but my soul choose Him? Why do I continue in a negative walk when all this time Christ says,
“You have no fault.”
Mind blowing,
boggling,
blistering.
I’m really THAT worth it,
THAT desperate for saving.
The death of an innocent Man,
His miraculous resurrection,
And I was the cause.
For we sin, He gets punished, and only God gets the glory.
For in return, we get to celebrate with Him for eternity.
No fear, anger, or hurt
No pain, crying or curse.
The body of Christ in continual worship.
For who is more worthy, powerful, and awesome,
but the Son of God who had come.
We were the sinners,
but we can be made winners.
Trust in the Lord and He will keep His promise.
Forever rejoicing with our Father in Heaven.
And this party will never end!
So,
Who’s in?
