Diamonds: a universal symbol for wealth.

It’s a girl’s best friend after all, right?

But seriously, no one ever thinks of diamonds as pieces of trash or filth or expendable. Instead, they are very valued and desired.

You ever wonder why, though? I’m sure there’s a million reasons, but that really isn’t my focus now.

See, natural diamonds are made extremely high temperatures, at low depths of roughly 100 miles, and they’ve been growing for countless years.

Yes, you are a diamond. And here’s why:

Because you’re incredibly hot? Maybe.

But also because I am certain, if you’ve been alive for long at all, that you have experienced some burning situations. Things that just eat you alive and hurt like nothing else matters.

Because you’ve also been at a low point in your life, where you see no return. Where you’ve come to the conclusion that this is how it will always be - gloomy and dreadful.

Because no matter how old you are, you are always growing and learning new things. You don’t get it perfect all the time and it’s not always easy. You’ve grown from ten years ago, one year ago, three months ago, heck, you might not even be the same person you were yesterday!

But here’s also another fact:

Diamonds are brought up to the surface through magma in volcanic eruptions.

AN ERUPTION MADE SOMETHING SO EXPENSIVE

No matter the damage it causes, it still brings beauty and growth and wealth.

So I’m sure you’ve been through an “eruption” in your life, or maybe you’re in one currently.

Just know that whatever it was, it did not change your worth. Instead, it made you more valuable and treasured, because you are a diamond.
